new photos after a while

greetings, bobby. hope you r in the best of health.
photography wise, i am a bit sick of sport photos after covering this Bersatu event since last Sunday. Hence i decided to share the dinner photos i took 3 hours ago. today is a bit of a record for me as i took like 300+ photos from the morning till the end of the closing dinner. it's all good, amigos . i love doing it. and probably gonna miss it when i wake up tomorrow morning..
anyway, here are some of them. i hope u like them the way i like u.

Dinner dengan YB Muhammad bin Muhd Taib

salam all. I took this photo like 2 hours ago and already decided to put it here.
wow i must be really bored.
anyway, these are some of the attendants of the dinner with YB Tan Seri Dato Haji Muhammad bin Haji Muhd Taib at the Caledonian Hall. (Woo i have to refer back to the invitation card to get his name right!) A few people in there i dunno, in fact some i've never met, but most of the boys and girls are my hommies. come to think of it, i'll actually leave this bunch in pretty much a month time. wow.. 
No me in the group photo, amigos. but i then managed to get Tengkuk to take my pic with YB. so glad i taught Tengkuk to use dlsr couple of months ago.

and then there's me and aufa photo..not that we've won 'couple of the year' award at the dinner or anything..just ordinary2 for memory one la. u know, the one u took snapshot2 one and then put in friendster? that kind la..haha. edit it to black n white coz it is the shiznit. aint it lovely?hehhe

Pada pukul 12.40, 01/06/07 awal pagi semalam....
"Sol, Kak Ida dah sakit la..Rasanya malam ni bersalin. Jom ke hospital malam ni. Ko teman abang la sebab ko berbudi-pekerti dan kacak pulak tuh," kata Abg Saufi kepada saya melalui telefon. Nyata telah saya tambah beberapa patah perkataan lagi untuk menyedapkan cerita serta menambahkan keyakinan diri saya.
Saya berasa sungguh gembira lantas bersiap untuk ke hospital. Hampir terlupa saya meng'zip' seluar saya dek terlalu teruja. Maklum lah, sudah 2 minggu saya menunggu saat ini untuk menjadi kenyataan.
Kami tiba di hospital dengan penuh debaran kerana pintu resepsi hospital tertutup rapat dan kami tidak tahu jika ada pintu resepsi 24 jam yang lain. Saya tidak sedar pula ada punat interkom yang boleh di tekan untuk berhubung dengan makcik2 bidan yang sudah menunggu di tingkat tiga. Maafkan saya, Kak Ida. Kalau saya perasan awal2 butang itu sudah tentu Kak Ida tidak perlu menahan sakit lebih lama di dalam kereta 
Setelah di dalam bangunan, kami pun menuju ke tingkat tiga. Kak Ida dan Abg Saufi di tempatkan di sebuah bilik bersalin manakala saya pula ditempatkan di luar bilik. Ketika bersendiri di luar bilik saya mula mengesali diri kerana tidak bawa kamera. Kenapa saya tidak bawa awal2 pun saya tidak tahu. "Damn," keluh hati saya di dalam bahasa inggeris. Lantas saya pun meminjam kereta Abg Saufi dan memandu ke rumah di bawah had laju yang ditetapkan.
20 minit kemudian, saya kembali di hospital bersama D50 dan kanta 50 mm f1.8 saya yang jarang saya gunakan. Abg Jali sudah ada di luar bilik ketika itu. Hati saya sedikit gembira kerana ada teman berbual sementara menanti kelahiran bayi tercinta. Abg Saufi sekali sekala keluar dari bilik bertanya khabar seolah2 mampu untuk menyediakan air minuman untuk tetamu yang bertandang ke rumah. Mujurlah saya tidak meminta air itu..
Masa ternyata merangkak perlahan pabila kita menungu sesuatu. Walaupun ada kamera di tangan, had kekreatifan saya mengira tidak banyak gambar yg menarik untuk di ambil. Tempat itu ternyata hanya di penuhi dengan peralatan2 bersalin serta kolam mandi untuk wanita bersalin di dalam air. Jadi saya kira tidak senonoh pula jika saya ambil gambar itu. Lantas saya banyak habiskan masa saya berbual dengan Abg Jali. Pelbagai isu hangat yg kami bincangkan yang saya malas pula hendak taip di sini.
Sekali-sekala saya berhenti berborak dan melekapkan telinga saya di pintu bilik bersalin untuk mengetahui jika semuanya di bawah kawalan di dalam sana. Mengingatkan saya betapa sakitnya seorang ibu ketika melahirkan anaknya. Betapa berdosanya saya jika saya melukakan hati ibu saya... Setelah mendengar apa yang patut, saya kembali berbual dengan Abg Jali. Kadang2 kami 'ter'mengumpat juga tentang penduduk setempat di bandar kami ini. Saya pasti ibu saya tidak suka saya mengumpat..
Pada pukul 3.48 menurut jam di meja, saya terdengar bunyi bayi menangis. Saya rasa teruja. Abg Jali jua. Bayi milik Abg Saufi dan Kak Ida ternyata sudah dilahirkan tetapi jantinanya tetap menjadi tanda tanya saya. Saya boleh bertanya kepada bidan yang keluar dari bilik namun saya tunggu jua Abg Saufi untuk keluar dari bilik bagi menyampaikan khabar gembira. Saya sudah menunggu di sini hampir 4 jam. Apalah sangat 5, 10 minit lagi.
Abg Saufi memberi SMS dari dalam bilik mengatakan ia bayi lelaki dan entah mengapa saya berasa sangat gembira untuk nadia. 5 minit kemudian Abg Saufi membawa keluar bayi lelaki itu dan berkata," Ini Syed Arif." Beliau kelihatan kepenatan tetapi ternyata kegembiraan lebih menyerlah. Saya gunakan masa yang ada dengan mengambil gambar dengan banyak kerana tidak pasti jika Arif akan di bawa kembali ke dalam bilik dan mungkin saya tidak berpeluang berjumpa kembali dengannya malam itu.
Arif memang dibawa masuk kembali ke dalam bilik selepas itu tetapi sekali skala dibawa keluar untuk mengambil angin di dalam dakapan kemas ayahnya. Sekali lagi saya tangkap gambar sebanyak yang boleh untuk menjadi tatapan di fotopage saya yang tidak seberapa ini.
Kira-kira pukul 5 pagi itu, minda saya sudah berada di awangan asmara. Abg Jali pula kelihatan seperti sudah berada di langit ke-7. Untuk mengelakkan dari terbang jauh lebih tinggi, kami pun berundur diri selepas mengucapkan tahniah skali lagi kepada Abg Saufi sekeluarga.
Begitulah pengalaman berharga saya semalam. Maaflah jika saya mengarut semacam saja di sini ya. Sekarang sudah pukul 3.50 pagi tetapi saya masih tidak mengantuk. Terlebih sudu serbuk kopi tadi rasanya. Ambil lah apa yang baik. Yang buruk itu janganlah di gunakan untuk menghukum personaliti sebenar saya.

greetings,
I saw this guy sitting at the corner of some building i didn't know its name. i wanted to take his photo but kinda worried he became abusive and stuff. also i didn't want to take his photo alone. some comparisons would make a better photo. so i waited longer (and further of course) for someone to pass by. that someone was a lady seemed presentable and pretty much a complete opposite to the sitting guy. and i really like the outcome...
editing includes b&w conversion and noise addition. it kinda looks better with noise i think
till then my friends. don't let your parents down; they grew you up.

The great ocean road

assalamualaikum and good day, fellow hot stuff.
it is half time and Manchester United is leading its city rival by 1-0 and the title is looking closer than ever. i am so happy but the game ain't over yet so instead of jumping with joy i decided to spend this interval to upload some photos i took along the great ocean road while i was in Australia. i didn't take many photo because my camera was running out of battery and being a clever man i always am, i forgot to bring the charger along with me. i nevertheless hope you enjoy the photos so that i can sleep better at night

Assalamualaikum and a good day i bid to all you good boy and girls...
You see, i just got back from a wonderful city, a city that never sleep that is Melbourne.
I took many photos there. so many they can sustain me for the next 2 years of fotopaging.
I am starting to wonder which photos should i share first..but then i decided that i should start with the photos of my fellow travellers, Rahim the Navigator and Muneera the Petrol Payer as well as the ever-helpful Melbourne lady, Asiah the Cook.
It may be a little cliche to say this, but without them this trip wouldn't have been as great as I've experienced.
So i raise my glass and thank you from the bottom of my heart for being there for me...

I will try to upload other photos asap. it all depends on my mood really. with all the global warming happening right now i dont think i would want to do anything. pray for me to be a happy boy ya. then i'll upload more. haha.

i took these two shots while sight-seeing with my uncle late this evening. which one do you prefer? i kinda like the 2nd one.
i'll be going to Melbourne this monday , April 23rd. so expect no update for a week or two, ok.
and no, i am not using Malaysian tax payer's money to travel.. i use my hard-earned money from last year summer work..
enough with sarcasm, till next time my friends.. don't forget to offer your seat to pregnant lady and the elderly, ok. Who knows, maybe your potential in-laws are watching

Petsoc Bowling Nite
|

Shot taken last week, at the bowling nite organised by the world famous club, PETSOC.
Bowling photos can be really predictable+typical (hence boring+cliche), so i try to be different here.
this is not a panning shot and i didn't attempt to do so. i simply use slower shutter speed to create blurry image of..well pretty much everything
the exiff data is: 1/3", f 3.2, 24mm, ISO 400, WB auto, shutter priority.
till then, folks.. don't forget to remember that there's more to life than sitting in front of your pc, browsing internet all the time..take time to jog and exercise..and maybe you'll feel slightly better about yourself..
