My first job

yesterday was indeed another significant moment for me as a photographer. Thanks to Selo, i landed my first photography job with the Australian and NZ Institute of Insurance and Finance to shoot their corporate function. it was fun and challenging as well. shooting under low-light situation is not something im good at and having no external flash unit didnt do much help either. i used ISO 800 and 1.8 aperture for most of the shots and alhamdulillah, im pretty pleased with the results (the photos are a bit noisy but i reckon they still look good) 
consequently, this is also my first earning from photography! i'm paid $150 for one hour of shooting. not bad huh? not bad at all! 
i've heard about people getting paid for doing what they love most and before this, the only way i could think of to taste that is by being an english premier league player 
alhamdulillah, now i know how that feels like 
i wanted to share more photos but i dont think i should do it. my client didnt say anything about this but i think i should i ask them first before i upload the photos in here.

Hari Raya Pertama

since dah free from exam ni ada time la untuk upload gamba raya haritu. overall it was a good day for me. beraye dengan friends yg bes2 dan comey2 belake.
pegi open house and socialising some more. terlupe sekejap exam stress. and
i hope it's not too late to say thank you to the hosts of all open houses that i attended this raya. may god bless y'all.

my new lens: 50mm f1.8
|

today i went to paul's camera to pick up my highly rated 50mm lens. im not sure if i really need this lens to be honest..but from my readings it appears that the lens is a must-have one..so i guess i should have it too! 
then i went procrastinating at riccarton mall and met tomen, mun, annie, neng and aufa xberborak lame pon tapi..
anyway, here are 2 shots at Briscoes. if it wasnt for the store manager, i would've taken more photos. spoil lah lu brother 
seronok dapat play with depth of field with this lens
well this last one is the decoration on the ceiling of the mall..if u see hard enough u can see me!

this is my third kid photography entry in a row!
wow, i must have loved children more than michael jackson does! haha..(please dont take this seriously..i'm kidding only, ok!)
ini masa budak2 ni beratur untuk di conteng muka oleh badut upahan selepas sembayang raya. subject yg menarik n too good to be missed by my camera.
more gamba raya after this. whenever i feel malas to study i'll upload more.

happy day for me as a photographer! my photo won 2nd place in FMDC's photo challenge this time. check this out

woohoo!..i know there's no prize involved but as a beginner, i find this extremely encouraging.
to know people likes and values my photo is very pleasing and satisfying.
i must admit, comments like 'lawa la gamba ko, sol!' or a simple 'good job, sol!' do really make my day

langit biru tanpa jerebu

since malaysia sakan dengan jerebu nye, terasa nak shoot langit/awan la pulak. tapi xnak shoot cam typical gamba awan yg slalu tgk tu.. tak 'cool' la..haha
so amek la gamba tiang letrik dengan road sign ni..arrow kat sign ni macam pointing to the sky. nak tunjuk langit tu biru gile. xmacam di malaysia yg kelabu asap. bajet cam abstract la gamba ni kononnya..hehe.
anyway, to all my fans in malaysia, jaga kesihatan anda and keep your pimpin' hand strong, yo!
